I lost nearly 2 1/2 pounds
I am happy about the weight loss. Nearly 2 1/2 pounds in one day. I did not eat much. As always, 2 fried eggs for breakfast and a late lunch/dinner combination as I had to leave to an appointment at 3:30 pm and knew I would not get food. For lunch/dinner I had a salat with green leaves, pickled red bell peppers, and pickeled Greek peppers and grilled steak meat from the day before with Balsmic Vinegar and Virgin Olive Oil. (I buy the balsamic vinegar from Costco in 1 L bottles, it has a great taste and is relativly inexpensive, around $ 11. This is in my opinion the best vinegar you can get for a normal to medium price). I alsways have two mugs of black coffee for breakfast and for lunch, no milk, no creamer, no sugar, just black.
The day before the diet, I lost .8 pounds as I nearly followed the diet, but I had a piece of cake, my wife baked, a Greek Almond Cake for our bible study that evening and I had two glasses of wine. But for breakfast only two eggs and coffee, for lunch a salat with some cold chicken and for dinner a large steak (about 16 ounces), a rib eye steak, and another green salat with added bell peppers.
I promise for next week recipes and I wil keep you updated with my progress. I have to let you know in advance that Friday will be a vacation day from the diet as there is a sponsor event from our chamber of commerce for the arts festival and I do not want to pay and eat no food and drink no wine or beer.
Saturday might be a vacation day also as I am going to a funeral, but I might be able to avoid carbs.
Sunday is definately a vacation day for the diet, it is Valentines Day, and a very special one. My wife and I met that day 35 years ago, therefore after church I will prepare a nice breakfast with freshly baked Baguette (French Bread), I buy it frozen from Winn Dixie from their bakery, that is the way Winn Dixie gets it. And I have boiled eggs and smoked salmon with a bottle of French Champagne for this special event. As this is a late breakfast that will take us some time, I am planing a lunch/dinner combination. I bought a large (nearly two pounds) lobster tail that I have in the freezer and I will cut it in half and grill it with some olive oil and butter on top. Along with a steak for each, for my wife a filet mignon and for me a large rib steak. And of course we have a good bottle of red wine. The recipes and photos and how the wine tasted, where I got it, etc. soon on the page I am working for you.
